Andrea Chappell
Management TeamSimba’s private charter consultant. She helps guests determine which tour will be the perfect to suit their needs and desires and create lifetime memories. Prior to joining the Simba team, Andrea ran and owned her own wedding planning company based in Phuket. The knowledge gained through that means that Andrea is very experienced with catering to customer's needs and has extensive knowldge regarding the Phuket boat tours locations. In addition to that, Andrea has lived in Phuket for 12 years and Hong Kong prior to that. In both locations, Andrea owned and lived on boats and is passionate about the sea and exploring hidden locations.
Paul Chappell
Management TeamGeneral Manager/Owner Paul has for over 25 years worked as a professional pilot in the worlds highest quality airlines, and more recently operating private jets for some of Asia's most prominent VIP's. Blessed with time to balance between life as a professional pilot, and running marine businesses, Paul is able to bring the highest levels of aviation customer service quality and engineering/operations oversight to the small boat industry in Thailand, which makes Simba Sea Trips unique to its competitors. Paul has a passion for the sea and wishes to share the amazing, world class waterways surrounding Phuket with as many as he can through Simba.

Office Staff
There is a happy team behind the scenes at Simba! Lovely Moya will ensure tour is all organized perfectly, delightful Keow makes your "brunch", and Deng our boat manager will ensure that everything is ship shape on the boats. Moya, Paul and Andrea are your first point of contact and will be assisting you with any email and phone queries. If you have any enquiries at all don't hesitate to contact the office.
Boat Crew
At Simba, experience is not just an ambition. It’s a requirement and no where is this more prevalent than the employment of our Boat Crew. Some of our staff, include Deckhand En (pictured) have over 38 years experience traversing the waters of the Andaman Sea, often as longtail fishermen in their youth! Although it may be your first or second time making the crossing to Phi Phi, for some of these’s guys, it’s their 1000th. As you may be aware, we own, operate, manage and maintain our own boats. This allows us to directly employ our staff based on factors like experience.

specifically designed for sightseeing tours
Our tour boats Simba 7,8 and 9 are all modern, Seat 359 fibreglass speedboats, powered by two quiet, and emissions friendly Honda Marine 250hp 4-stroke engines. We are the only company in Thailand that operates this superior style of boat that features a club-seating layout and is specifically designed for sightseeing tours, not just people movers like all other tour operators in Phuket. They are 12 metres long and three-quarters of their length are under-canopy for shade. For the convenience of passengers, there is also a toilet and freshwater shower onboard.
Our tour boats are licensed to carry upto 26 passengers, though we only ever carry a maximum of 18 adults on each tour. All Simba boats are maintained and cleaned daily to impeccable standards, and exceed all local and international safety standards.

‘Simba Helicopter’ is from the UK luxury boat company Sealine, and this model having won Boating magazine’s motor boat of the year award in 2009, has earned a top reputation for an abundance of on-board space for a 35 footer. She is very tastefully decorated throughout with a luxurious interior…. the colour palette is warm, with natural stylish tones.

‘’Simba Sea Trips are amazing’’
My wife and I spent a week in Phuket and we ended up doing two Simba Tours, after being thoroughly impressed by our first tour.
We did the Phi Phi island tour, and the James Bond island tour. Both were amazing and I would recommend doing them both because they were very different from each other. The Phi Phi islands tour had snorkeling and a lot of pristine beach and lagoon locations, while the Jamea Bond island tour had no snorkeling but sea kayaking instead, as well as cave exploration.
Both times the driver showed up at our hotel in Karon beach early, and was very pleasant to deal with. He takes you directly to their office in the Royal Phuket Marina, where a light morning snack is waiting for you (boiled eggs, coffee, crackers, fruit, etc.). There's then a briefing of the tour on a large map that is very comprehensive so that everyone understands the days schedule and can ask questions. Both times the briefing was done by one of the tour guides named Harry who speaks perfect English. The tour guides themselves were amazing, we had Woody on our first tour and Harry on our second tour and I can guarantee that these guys are top notch. They really do avoid all of the masses, for example we were the first ones on the James Bond island, which apparently is very very busy normally. The tour guides know when the popular spots get busy and using the smaller boat (we had approximately 16 people on our first tour and 15 on the second), they are able to get in and out before the masses. The crew on the boat such as the captain and boat boy were always very friendly, often taking candid pictures of us, which they offer to email to you afterwards at no cost. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Highly recommend.
